EIIC J1 Coordinator

Hours: 30-35 hours weekly - May-Sep 08
Location: Eiic Woodside and Woodlawn offices

Primary Responsibilities:
(and approximate related % of time spent in each area)

  • Employment Counseling (50%)
  • Responsible for overseeing the Center's Employment services for J1 summer students and assist EIIC employment referral program
  • Maintain active database of Employer and applicant contacts
  • Screen clients and assist with resume building and education resources and job referrals as appropriate
  • Update EIIC J1 Summer Guide
  • Help reception staff work to serve job seeker needs
  • Seek to increase annual Dinner Dance revenue through employment contacts
  • Increase Employment donation revenue
  • Position based in Woodside and Woodlawn Social Services
  • Help applicants with accommodation and related enquiries
  • Interface with existing community, community, business political contacts and represent the center externally (IBO etc.)
  • Provide input for EIIC newsletter and ensure EIIC website is updated and maintained with current relevant Employment news Administrative (10%)
  • Submit client reports and activity on weekly and monthly basis Complete payroll, client contact and related administrative reports
