Celtic Cross will be appearing live at Joe's Pub, NYC, on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th at 7.30pm. Celtic Cross is pop/folk band with a strong Celtic traditional influence from the heart of New York City. Those who have been around Celtic music in the Northeast area are no strangers to Celtic Cross. Bringing together fantastic original songs, international award winning musicians, and an unreal stage show are Celtic Cross' hallmarks. Whether you hear them in a bar, a party, or a festival… get ready for fun, energy and passion!
The lively band features a solid bass-drums-guitar rhythm section. Like many successful acts, the heart of Celtic Cross is family. This seven-piece band is led by vocalist Kathleen Fee, a talented singer-songwriter singer. She is joined by her brothers; button accordionist John Vesey, and fiddle player Kenny Vesey. Other band members include; Walter Ensor on guitar, dubro and piano, Patrick Dineen on bass guitar and Wurlitzer piano, Frankie McCormick on banjo and mandolin, and Dave Barckow on drums and percussion.
Celtic Cross's latest CD Shores of America is a new all-original release, which explores the band's family & musical roots growing up as Irish-Americans in NYC. Shores of America, the title track for the recording; is a song about the changing fortunes and directions for Irish Americans.
